- A Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center. Modeled after a trauma team that pulls specialists together quickly, the stroke rapid response team ensures clot-busting medications used to treat stroke are administered within the critical three-hour window of the onset of symptoms.
- A Sleep Disorders Center with state-of-the-art equipment, home-like comfort and an expert staff.
- An inpatient hospice unit for terminally-ill patients who need more advanced care to help control pain or other symptoms.
- Community practices that provide quality, compassionate care for people who are uninsured or underinsured. As a patient, you’ll have access to primary doctors and a full range of specialists. You’ll also have access to bilingual and bicultural caregivers.
- The Center for Healthy Aging, which brings together medical services, community agencies and educational resources to meet the unique needs of our community’s older adults.
- Three medical buildings: Allentown Medical Center, which is home to several physician offices; Fairgrounds Surgical Center, a state-of-the-art medical facility for patients requiring outpatient surgery; and Lehigh Valley Family Health Center at 1730 Chew Street, a community practice that provides basic medical care for families.
- The School of Nursing building, which offers many community classes and events.
We also provide free day care to patients needing pre-surgery and other testing at our Diagnostic Care Center, and valet service. We also are easily accessible by public transportation.
